NOTW: China Glaze "Ruby Pumps"

This is probably one of the prettiest nail polishes I have. Along with "Emerald Sparkle" by China Glaze (which is just the dark green version of this).
It's definitely a dupe for OPI's "Smitten With Mittens" which came out in their Christmas Collection last year. Although there are definitely differences between the two, mainly being that the OPI has more gold sparkle in it, really making it Christmas-y, and that "Ruby Pumps" has a more jelly like finish, they are very very similar.

I wanted to paint my nails red but not the standard red creme, and I originally kind of hesitated to paint them this because it reminds me so much of the holidays. But, I'm so glad that I did because I'm in love with this color again.
It's much deeper in person, and not as orange as it looks in the photo. Not necessarily more blue, just deeper. And the shimmer is so pretty!
This was 3 coats, not fussy at all, with the standard Seche Vite top coat (which is the best, and you must try it if you haven't. Seriously).
I think the best part about this is that it's always available and so much cheaper than OPI, and then the limited edition holiday OPI which by now is impossible to find (luckily I bought 2 so I'll never run out...).
The other day I did see an Orly color that was a red shimmer similar to this, and Illamasqua has one as well, so I think I'm going to venture out and see how both of those compare.
But for now, I LOVE this color and totally recommend it!
