NOTW: Deborah Lippmann "Across The Universe"

Before I went totally Halloween on my nails (which will be up probably tmrw) I had this lovely shade on my nails.
This is "Across The Universe" by Deborah Lippmann, and it is probably my favorite blue nail polish. EVER ("Charla" by Zoya is teal/turquoise to me, so it doesn't count lol).
It's a dark blue jelly with blue microglitter, and then bigger blue and green hexagonal pieces all jumbled together in this super deep, cosmic looking bottle of amazingness. That's how much I love it lol.
It doesn't apply as smoothly as I had hoped, in terms of getting the glitter from the bottle onto the nail neatly. I'm talking smoothness in terms of process, not consistency. The consistency is great - not clumpy, or sticky at all. As with "Today Was A Fairytale" this one applies really thinly but opaque - the glitter doesn't make the nail feel heavy and overly painted after you're done painting your nails.
It is a jelly, so it is going to apply sheer, and really no patter what you're not going to get an overly opaque looking nail.
What I have on my nails is 3 coats, over Nubar's Foundation Base Coat and under Seche Vite.
Deborah Lippmann polishes retail between $16-$20 and can be purchased on her website, as well as at high end beauty departments in department stores such as Nordstrom.
