OPI Skyfall Collection Swatches & Review!

AOSDIFNAOWEIFNAOEIWF!!!!!!! This is the collection that I was MOST excited for this year, if not for a few years... the OPI Skyfall Collection, this year's winter movie collaboration.
Not only am I a massive 007 fan, but when this world collided with nail polish? My head nearly exploded.
This collection will be available in October sometime... so start checking in stores around you to see when they'll be in stock! The polishes are standard OPI price, the 18K Gold Leaf is $30.
I go more into detail about the collection itself in the video (which I'll put down below right after it's posted!) so without further ado... swatches!

Live And Let Die
This is a dark bluish-green base with a gold shimmer. Very inky and pretty and (for me) perfect for the holidays when I want something green but dark and festive. This was opaque in 2 coats and had a pretty glossy finish.

Goldeneye
First of all, who remembers the awesome N64 game? Yeah. That was a good 5 years of my life lol.
Goldeneye is a gold glass fleck in a pretty clear base (I can't actually tell if it's clear or a very very pale gold, but I'm going to say clear for now). This one can be used either layered or on it's own and glimmers like gold leaf, if you don't want to purchase the gold leaf top coat. The color is perfect... just like actual gold jewelry (or the golden gun you can use in the video game).

Die Another Day
This is probably going to be my go-to holiday red this year... it looks just like a red christmas ribbon! It's a warm, orange toned red (but still a red) shimmer that was opaque in 2 coats. In the sun it shimmers very delicately and is very comforting for me to look at.
By the way... Pierce Brosnan's films got a lot of love in this collection lol.

Casino Royale
This is one of two cremes in the collection. Casino Royale is the less red of the two - in real life it's a bit more berry/purple toned than it is in the photos above. It was super easy to work with and was opaque in 2 coats. A good fall color, and sort of a standard color you see in collections during this time of the year.
The World Is Not Enough
This one is a mauve-y glass fleck shimmer. It's on the thinner side and is opaque in 3 coats. The shimmer is golden, pink and there are a few little specks of blue in there. It's sort of like Zoya's Daul, but less purple and less intense. If you want a shimmer that looks neutral from far away, this may be one you want to look at!

You Only Live Twice
#YOLT? Lol jk. This one is very reminiscent of the OPI Burlesque Shimmers - it's a magenta glass fleck with orange and gold iridescence to it. It's opaque in 2 coats... and is a color we've seen OPI and other brands do before so not the most interesting color of the collection.

Tomorrow Never Dies
Tomorrow Never Dies is actually the first polish I wanted to put on and was surprisingly a color that I really enjoyed. From all the promos this was in the half that I didn't car that much for because it was a purple shimmer and this is a color that everybody has made.
It's a royal purple shimmer with a little bit of blue flash to it. I don't own any OPI that's like this though so I guess it was unique in that sense. It applied really nicely and pops really beautifully in some lights. In the sun the blue is pretty visible. This was opaque in two coats and I got a lot of compliments on it at work.

The Living Daylights
This is the only glitter of the bunch - which I guess means we're moving away from the massive glitter trend we were in for like a year.
The Living Daylights is a bunch of large hexagonal glitter in a clear base - it's orange, teal and silver. HEY THERE SHARKS FANS! Lol. It's surprisingly nice over different tones, as you'll see below.

The Spy Who Loved Me
The Spy Who Loved Me is a red-orange base with gold shimmer. The shimmer is slightly smaller than Smitten With Mittens, and the color is much different, but if you're looking for a red with gold shimmer, then take a look at this one! It's super festive, almost more festive than Smitten With Mittens because of it's brighter base.
It was opaque in 2 coats.

Skyfall
This is the other creme in the collection. It's a reddish brown, sort of like Mrs. O'leary's BBQ and but slightly lighter. Also very easy to work with and opaque in 2 coats.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service
This one is the other glass fleck in the collection, sort of like Zoya's FeiFei but again, less intense and a little more grayed out. It's a slate blue base with primarily gold shimmer to it. Very pretty, and if you want something that looks gray from afar, say if you work and you can't wear super intense color, then this may be a color for you. This one is one of my favorites of the collection :)

Moonraker
Moonraker is the sole frost of the collection. It's a darker silver frost and is like most frosts in that there are visible brush strokes and is on the thinner side. I probably won't ever wear this on it's own, but layered with a glitter I think it'd be very pretty.

The Man With The Golden Gun
This is the one that I saw in people's pictures from Cosmoprof and my mouth started watering. And I'll be honest, it's because of the packaging.
The Man With The Golden Gun is OPI's version of the 18K Gold Leaf Top Coat (Zoya is making one as well). It retails for $30, because of all the packaging and the materials inside of it. If you're not one that cares about packaging, get the Zoya one.
But, if you are, then this will be super fun for you.
The little box it comes in opens up and your little gold polish is inside. I'm going to keep it in the box, because I'm a collector... and a nerd... so yeah.
Anyways, the polish itself is a clear base with tiny gold flecks in it. And when I say gold flecks, I literally mean flecks of gold. It layers pretty nicely and is easy to use - it doesn't have the same problems some glitter polishes have, it's not goopy or anything.
The rest of this post is a picspam of the topcoat... enjoy :D
