This is a product that Sara sent me.
Here is what Lush says:
Treat your kids and your inner child to some well-deserved playtime with our multi-purpose moldable soap, FUN. This brilliant innovation is a four-in-one phenomenon combining soap, shampoo, bubble bath, and malleable toy into a single roll. Each color has a unique scent that evokes fond childhood memories of things like fresh baking and candies. What could be sweeter? 2.5% of sales from every bar of FUN is contributed to the FUNd, a LUSH initiative which supports charities in Fukushima, Japan that create safe places for children to play outside.
DID YOU KNOW?
For many children in Japan, life has not yet returned to normal after the 2011 tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster. For every bar of FUN purchased LUSH donates 2.5% of the sales to the FUNd, which supports children’s play and recreation projects in those affected areas.I remember Lush releasing this product but never looked into it because I was kind of intimidated by it. When it was first released, it really did just look like PlayDoh. I was intimidated by it because well... I had no idea what it did and how to use it. Granted, I didn't read the description, but when I got it in a box from Sara, I looked into it and was really excited to use it.
Since it was advertised as a soap, shampoo, and bubble bath, I tested it out for all three of those uses (I also sort of played with it and made shapes, but that has nothing to do with it's actual effectiveness lol).
As a bubble bath, it worked really well. I think it even worked better than some of their regular bubble bars. It is a fairly soft, PlayDoh like product that is easy to break apart. I used about a walnut size for one bath. It melted on it's own and produced quite a lot of bubbles and dyed the water blue. There was a lavender like scent to it, but still slightly PlayDoh like. Perfect for kids! The bubbles lasted in the bath for the entire time I was in it, which was about 45 minutes and left no staining in the bathtub.
As a soap, it worked pretty well as well but it didn't clean my skin as well as I would've liked it to. It did lather really well, but I feel like there was a slight residue left on the skin.
Same as when I used it as a shampoo. It didn't clean my hair as well as I would've liked, but still lathered pretty well. I think it'll work great on finer hair, or children's hair.
Each roll is $6.95 on Lush Usa, and comes in multiple colors.
I think this will be a great gift for kids as it's a toy as well as something they can bring to bathtime.
Have any of you tried this? What do you think?
