Essie Van D'Go | Swatches & Review!
This morning let's start with the first of the corals, Van D'Go.
Van D'Go was one of the first Essie polishes that I saw online. Back when I first did a whole bunch of polish "research" aka being obsessed with blogs and bookmarking all of my favorite swatches, Van D'Go ended up being on the top of the list for what I wanted.
It definitely made it into one of my first major Essie hauls.
Van D'Go is a really soft salmon toned peachy coral creme. This is one of those perfect situations where it looks amazing on every person I've ever seen it swatched on, but I really don't care for it on my own skintone. It actually looks ok in this swatch but just in general, not my fave.
The formula is really nice - it's slightly streaky with one coat but it evens out really beautifully at two coats. It's bright but not too bright, and pastel but not too chalky. Generally, it's really quite a great polish, just not my favorite on me lol.
Van D'Go is a really popular color and part of their core line. You can find it pretty easily still.
Essie polishes retail for between $8 and $9 and you can find them at all drugstores.
