Glitter Daze Review & Giveaway!

Hello everyone!
Today I have a review for you of some amazing Indie Polishes! Sana from Glitter Daze contacted me and asked to review one of their monthly subscription boxes so I said "Yes!!!" without even thinking about it.
Glitter Daze is an indie company that has an amazing collection of polishes. I specifically reviewed one of their monthly boxes which came with a full sized polish, a hand therapy and a mini polish as well as some extras. The specific box I reviewed was January's Ultra box, and I was so pleased with what came inside the box!
The monthly subscriptions come in three different price ranges - Super, Mega or Ultra. Super is $13 a month, Mega is $19 and Ultra is $25. As you go up in price, the more products you receive. Even if you start at Super though, you get a Full Sized polish every month. Mega comes with a full sized polish, a mini and a hand therapy of sorts.
I absolutely love monthly subscription boxes so I was very enchanted by the idea of a monthly indie box. I know Llarowe has a monthly subscription service, which is $50 a month. It's a little out of my and most people's price range so finding out about the Glitter Daze system was sort of perfect :) For $13 a month, getting a single polish is actually a great deal. Also, whenever you purchase a box a portion of the payment goes to a charity, which is also a lovely thought!
As for what comes in my box, you can watch my open-box video!
Make sure you guys check out all the swatches down below - and now for the giveaway! Just make sure you enter via the Raffle Copter widget directly below:

:O Hi Internets!

Hi Internets!
Sorry for the momentary break again - just had to get my life together real quick (lol).
School has started, so believe it or not I'll actually be able to schedule things more regularly... during winter break I needed to take some "me" time to sort some life things out. But anyways, with school I have a very direct schedule and so I'll be able to plan better. I always say I'll be less active online during school but I realized I'm more active because a) I don't want to do school work (don't do that, kids lol) and b) I have a legit schedule to follow so it's easier to fit some things in.
Aside from finals season, when all bets are off, I'll have good stuff out for all of you. I know I say that a lot but I try to actually mean it (really I do!)
Anyways, today some big things happened: Zoya blogged about me and I hit 6000 subscribers on YouTube!
It's a little crazy for both things to happen, so I'm a little floored. Very cool to see me on Zoya's blog, as Zoya is one of my favorite brands, and you all know that.
I have two really awesome projects in the works at the moment and they'll both be out within the next week. I'm really excited about them and I hope you all like it when it's finished ♥
I, again, just want to thank you all for all your support. You guys are amazing and are just the best group of beauty lovers. I love hearing what you all have to say and I really feel fortunate to have met you guys :)))))))
I hope you're all ready for 2014 to really get going, I know I am!
I'll see you all very soon. I promise!

New Years Nails - Enchanted Polish Kids & Lynnderella One Nutty Fruitcake

So for New Year's I wanted something that I loved, because it was my last mani of 2013, and I wanted something glittery because it's New Year's and I wanted something that sort of encompassed all things nail polish, for me at least, and I ended up holding a bottle of Enchanted Polish and a bottle of Lynnderella. And that was a long ass sentence. I'm working on short sentences this year.
So with my bottle of Enchanted Polish Kids, from the Time To Pretend Collection, and my bottle of Lynnderella's One Nutty Fruitcake, which is one of my favorite multi colored glitters, I ended up with this manicure.
Kids is a teal holo that shifts to pink, purple, orange and looks all sunset-y and awesome but still teal. The holo is sprinkled in there pretty strong so, well, you all can guess that I sort of love this polish.
One Nutty Fruitcake is a mix of different sized square glitter in bright colors. I accented my ring and pinkie nails with the glitter to add in a little festivity on my nails for the new year.
What I love about both polishes is that they're both pretty opaque - Kids was just two coats on my nails and One Nutty Fruitcake was just one coat of the glitter.
Enchanted Polish is pretty hard to purchase because they're so coveted now. But Lynnderella is readily available on eBay. They are fairly expensive but they're all handmade polishes.
I used CND Stickey Base Coat and Seche Vite for my top coat.
Do you guys have any indie combos you love? Let me know!

Christmas Manicure: Red Wrapping & Gold Ribbon Inspired!

This is the manicure I wore on Christmas day! I wanted something red, and I didn't know if I wanted to do glittery or classic red. I probably went back and forth with different options for about an hour before finally deciding on the combo I came up with.
Because I get weird and bored when I argue with myself about my own nails (I basically have an internal war every time I do my nails) I took a break from self argument and grabbed a snack from my kitchen. On my dining table my mom left out some stuffing stockers and I suddenly realized that I wanted to do red and golds and glitter and then painted my nails accordingly.
My mom's little stocking stuffers were wrapped in red tissue paper that had little holographic hexes in them and were tied with a gold ribbon.
For the red I chose OPI's Smitten With Mittens, which is now a holiday go-to for me, and is a red with gold flecks ofr glitter. The red is a deep, classic blue toned red almost jelly. For the hex, I used OPI's Which is Witch?, a clear based glitter with bar, hex and micro holo glitter. And for the gold, I used OPI's All Sparkly And Gold, from the Mariah Carey Holiday collection.
I loved the way this turned out and loved the combo of the gold with the red.
What colors did you guys end up using during the holidays? I hope you all had an amazing holiday!

Pink & Girly Holiday Nails - Inspired by Tanya Burr & TenLittleNubs!

My second holiday manicure was super pink and girly and initially inspired by Tanya Burr on YouTube's manicure she got done around Christmas.
Her mani was a baby pink with OPI's Which is Witch? glitter on top. The baby pink I used was OPI's Don't Burst My Bubble which is one of my favorite baby pinks. It's on the sheer and jelly side so it's very glossy when it dries but it takes a bit of layering to get actual opaque coverage on your nail. I added the same glitter by OPI, Which is Witch? for my middle finger, which is a mix of bar, hex and micro holo glitter.
For an extra accent, I used OPI's My Favorite Ornament from this year's Mariah Carey holiday colors. It's my favorite color from that collection and just so glitzy and fun! It's also an elegant color for a glitter, which I love.
I had this manicure on for a few days before I moved on to the next holiday manicure. I used OPI's Nail Envy as a base coat and Seche Vite as a top coat.
Do you guys have any colors you love to pair with baby pinks? Let me know :)

Holiday Nails: Blue & White Holiday Sweater Pattern inspired by MrCandiiPants & Coewless

So I'm going to start re-capping my Holiday manicures before I go back to showing you all my old manicures before the holidays (there's still about 4 that I have to show you).
The first Holiday manicure was a blue and white and glitter manicure completely inspired by Coewless. She is a super amazing nail artist I found on Instagram - here's her original photo. It's the most surreally awesome white and blue sweater pattern that she did by hand (!). I was really inspired by it so tried to recreate it and failed. Then tried again to make it more simple, and failed again. Then on my third try went super super simple and ended up with the white, blue and red pattern up above.
Tired of trying to do white nail art lol, I added a glitter accent on my middle finger for my left hand. The base color is Essie's After School Boy Blazer which is a very deep inky navy creme color. The glitter I layered was OPI's The Living Daylights from the Skyfall collection and China Glaze's This Ones For You. I thought it looked snowy as well as Christmas light like. I liked the effect of the two glitters together.
On my left hand I didn't dare try to create that pattern again so I went with MrCandiiPants' Herringbone nail art. It's super simple, and super easy and I liked the white on the navy again.
This manicure was on for about a week before I switched to the next holiday mani. :)
