Essie Chubby Cheeks | Swatches & Review!
A while back I set out to swatch all of my nail polishes, and decided to do it by brand. I started with Essie, and am only like slightly through the first half of them. So, let's keep on truckin' on :)
Chubby Cheeks is the first of my more red-toned Essie Polishes.
I've already gone through the really pale, light neutrals, baby pinks, and some brighter pinks and corals. Just click on the "Essie" tab and you'll be able to see all of my posts that have to do with Essie polishes!
Chubby Cheeks is a slightly muted red-toned coral. My camera picks up a lot of red tones so it looks much more saturated and bright than it is in person. In person, it's definitely a slightly dustier color, and for sure has a more coral feel to it than a red feel.
The polish itself had a pretty smooth application - opaque in 2 coats. It didn't tug or sink in any particular places. I put a top coat on this to show you how it looks at (in my opinion) "its best".
Essie polishes retail for between $8 and $9 and you can find them at all drugstores.
I don't know if this is still in Essie's core line - I haven't actually looked at the coral or red section of Essie polish displays because well, I just don't need very many more of them lol. However it seems pretty readily available online if you're interested :D
